Steve Jobs
My career in mental health began 15 years ago as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Those early years taught me patience, deep listening, and genuine empathy—qualities that continue to shape my therapeutic style today.
My passion for understanding the human mind led me to further study, completing a first-class BA (Hons) in Psychodynamic Practice at the University of Essex—where I was also named on the Dean’s List of Excellence—followed by an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies with distinction. I also hold a Level 5 Counselling Diploma and am a proud member of the ACCPH. This academic grounding supports the thoughtful, compassionate, and attuned way I work with clients.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked with individuals, schools, and organisations in a variety of roles, including teaching group and organisational dynamics at the University of Essex. While these experiences broadened my understanding of people and relationships, my true focus and passion lie in one-to-one therapy—creating a safe, calm space where women can explore who they are and who they want to become.
As a school counsellor at The Stanway School, I supported young people through challenging emotional experiences, further deepening my belief in the importance of being met with kindness, warmth, and consistency at any age.
Today, in my private practice, I work closely with women experiencing trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, depression, low self-worth, and identity concerns. Sessions are relaxed and non-judgmental, allowing you to unfold at your own pace. I draw from psychodynamic thinking and integrative approaches to help you understand yourself more deeply, unravel old patterns, and rebuild a clearer, more grounded sense of identity.
I believe wholeheartedly that no one should have to struggle alone. Therapy with me is collaborative, gentle, and rooted in honesty. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a softly challenging approach to help you see yourself from new angles and reconnect with the strength and self-worth that may have been overshadowed by past experiences.
My goal is to offer a space where you feel genuinely held, understood, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.
My main focus is one-to-one therapy for women navigating trauma, emotional difficulties, relationship issues, identity questions, and personal growth. I also occasionally offer consultation and group work for organisations and schools where supportive, relational understanding is needed—but this sits alongside, not above, my core therapeutic work.
If you’re looking for a safe, relaxed space to explore your thoughts and feelings, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with who you are beneath it all, I’m here to help.
You’re welcome to reach out and begin at a pace that feels right for you.
